Brooklyn Elementary currently consists of nine general education classrooms, along with Title 1, Speech, and Special Education classrooms. There are also designated spaces for Music, Art, P.E., Library, and Adult and Child Services. Brooklyn has a half-time Clinic Aide and Family Service Coordinator.
Along with our Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), teachers will use Class Dojo to communicate with parents about their child’s behavior so that we can focus on promoting positive behavior school-wide.
Technology is a large part of every classroom. As we are integrating Project Lead the Way into our curriculum, iPads and Chromebooks are used almost daily. Our second through fifth graders will also be utilizing “Type to Learn” in a new keyboarding class.
We encourage parents to utilize Family Access in Skyward to have access to their child’s grades, food service balance, and student information.
