Paragon Elementary will be implementing Project Based Learning starting the 2016-2017 school year in 1st and 2nd grade. My goal by second semester is to implement the Project Based Learning in K-5. Project Based Learning welcomes a hands-on approach to learning. Students take ownership in what they want to learn and how they will meet their goals.

PARAGON ELEMENTARY MISSION STATEMENT
The staff, parents, and community of Paragon Elementary School believe that the school’s mission is two-fold: to teach students to be responsible to themselves, and to be beneficial to society. When the students have completed Paragon School, they will have been given the opportunity to gain the skills necessary to achieve lifelong learning and a strong, positive self-image. We at Paragon accept the responsibility of motivating and assisting the students in reaching their unique potential in a safe, stimulating environment.
The Rock: “The Rock” sits out front of Paragon in the square concrete. “The Rock” was part of the original school building built in 1900. “The Rock” has continued to be a symbol of the community and of the 4 school buildings here in Paragon, Indiana.
