eLearning Day

Our exciting eLearning or Flex Learning Day, as some call it, will be happening on Thursday, October 5th, 2017.
Below is info about eLearning Day that will help prepare you for this event.

Event Info:

eLearning Day is October 5, 2017. Students will NOT come to school on this day. Instead, they will be assigned online teacher created lessons that will be due Monday, October 9th by 9 pm.

Classes resume Friday, October 6th, 2017.

Purpose of eLearning Day

eLearning Day is an opportunity to encourage new ways for students to engage their studies. Many school corporations in Indiana and nationally are utilizing eLearning days not only for new experiences but also for weather-related school closings. For example, incorporating eLearning lessons during snow days ensures that students won’t fall behind in their curriculum.

For us at MSD of Martinsville, October 5th was chosen as our first eLearning day because our elementary schools already will be closed for parent/teacher conferences. In addition, October 5th will also give Bell, Wooden, and MHS teachers a chance to participate in professional development classes that are scheduled for that date.
