“Coach Dave Dorsett brings passion, commitment and a tremendous knowledge base to our girls basketball program.  Coach Dorsett’s 30 plus years of experience, at all levels, along with his familiarity with the current program should make for a smooth transition.  We are excited for the direction of Girls Basketball under Coach Dorsett,” stated Kip Staggs, Athletic Director, Martinsville High School.

“It means the world to me. Being named the Girls Varsity Head Coach at Martinsville is something I have dreamed about since getting into coaching back in 1984.  To have the opportunity to coach at this level at one of the most prestigious programs in the state is very humbling.  I am honored and excited to be chosen to lead the Martinsville High School Girls basketball program.  My plan is to lead by example and teach the game of basketball to the best of my ability to each student-athlete who chooses to participate in the program,” stated Coach Dave Dorsett.
