Reneae Staley, New Assistant Director of Special Education

The MSD of Martinsville is pleased to announce the promotion of Reneae Staley to assistant director of special education. She will start in August 2018.

The 2018-2019 school year begins Reneae’s 23rd year in education. In 1996, Reneae started working at East Middle School (now Bell Intermediate Academy) where she was a teacher and coach for five years. Reneae then transferred to Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation where she taught for three years before serving as administrator for 11 years.

In 2015, Reneae returned to the MSD of Martinsville to become the dean at East Middle School, then easily transitioned into the role of principal at Centerton Elementary School and held the position for two years.

Reneae received her undergraduate degree in K-12 physical education from IUPUI and master’s degree in education from Indiana University. Most recently, she earned an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from Indiana State University and Director of Exceptional Needs administration licensure through the School of Education at Indiana University.

“As a teacher and administrator, I have always been passionate about helping ALL students achieve success to the very best of their abilities. I believe that my new role will provide many opportunities to work with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and others in the community to provide positive school experiences that will allow our students to grow and achieve.  I am excited to join a team that is truly focused on what is best for our students and is always looking for ways to improve to better serve our school community,” -Reneae Staley.
