- Members of the Class of 2026: Need some helpful suggestions, guidelines, and proven strategies for writing effective essays for college and scholarship applications? If so, mark your calendar for either the evening of September 24th or October 2nd for an SSC College 101 session devoted to the application essay. Do note that your first chance to attend one of these sessions is now the 24th, as tomorrow evening’s session has been postponed. Again, there is NO session tomorrow evening; the first session is now next week, with the encore session the following week.
- Have you ever wondered what your senior class officers might look like with buzzed AND bleached hair? Well that dream could become reality this Friday. Starting today, Ethan Bray, Jacob Hawley, Nico Inman, and Cameron Johnson will be carrying buckets everywhere they go during the school day. All you have to do is simply donate any amount of money to the bucket of your choice. Whoever’s bucket has the most amount of money at the end of the day Friday will have to buzz his hair during the pep session. However, if $300 is raised ALL FOUR officers will have to buzz their hair, and at $400 they will all have to bleach their hair. Donations from staff and students of any grade are welcome, and all profits will go directly towards the 2026 senior class.
- Get jazzed for a Roaring Twenties Homecoming dance on Saturday September 20 at the MHS fieldhouse from 7-9. Guest forms must be completed before purchasing a ticket. Tickets will be $20 at the bookstore. Tickets are not sold at the door and need to be bought in advance, and ticket sales close on Friday, September 19.
