- Congratulations to our 2025 Homecoming court nominees!

- The nominees for Homecoming queen are Taylor Goss, Reagen Mullins, Aidra Rafferty, and Brookelyn Schweitzer.

- The nominees for Homecoming princess are Crysta Hays, Emma Peterson, Juliana Semmler, and Jewel Stillman.
- The homecoming queen and princess will be crowned at Siderwicz Field on Friday, September 19.
- Members of the Class of 2026: Keep checking the SSC Google Classroom for upcoming visits from college reps. Next week’s visits include meetings with Tricoci University on Monday, IU Indianapolis on Tuesday, and Ivy Tech on Thursday. To reserve your spots, use the Google Form at our SSC Google Classroom. Other upcoming college rep visits are Manchester, Indiana State, M.I.T., UIndy, Hanover, Franklin, Butler, Wabash, DePauw, and USI.
- Need help or looking for some guidance in writing your college application or scholarship essays? The SSC will be hosting a College 101 session this coming Wednesday evening, September 17th, and then a repeat session the following Wednesday, September 24th, to help you come up with your best application essays. As always, more info is at our SSC Google Classroom.
- Attention Students, there is a new process to request a pass to go to the clinic! Starting this Friday 9/12 you must fill out a form on your chromebook shortcuts for all non-emergency visits and wait for the nurse to email you a pass to leave class!

- MHS Flu Shot Clinic – September 30th
MHS will be holding a Flu Shot Clinic during the school day on Tuesday, September 30th!
- Who can participate?

Deadline: All online or paper forms must be submitted by Friday, September 26th to receive your flu shot on the 30th. This clinic will be provided by the Nurse Practitioner from Nurses Direct Connect.
- The MHS fall blood drive will be on Friday, September 12, in the fieldhouse entryway. If you are 16 or older, please consider donating blood. Sign up by scanning the QR codes posted on the bulletin boards in the hallway. Participants will need signed consent forms, and these can be picked up in room 206 or at lunch in the cafeteria.
- Get jazzed for a Roaring Twenties Homecoming dance on Saturday September 20 at the MHS fieldhouse from 7-9. Guest forms are available at the bookstore and must be completed before purchasing a ticket. Tickets will be $20 at the bookstore. Tickets are not sold at the door and need to be bought in advance, and ticket sales close on Friday, September 19. The first 150 students to purchase a ticket will receive a free shirt!
Athletics News
- The swim team is excited to kick off the 2025–26 season with pre-season conditioning beginning Tuesday, September 16th.
- A parent/student meeting will be held on Thursday, September 11th from 7:00–7:30 PM at the high school pool (enter through Door 25). Coaches Hannah Gill (Girls Swim) and Adam Chamberlain (Boys Swim) will be on deck to answer questions.
- The first swim session will take place on Tuesday, September 16th from 3:15–5:00 PM.
- To participate, students will need:
- An up-to-date sports physical entered in Final Forms (with swim listed as winter sports
- Swimwear and goggles
