The MSD of Martinsville approved the hiring of Andy Pascoe as Martinsville High School Head Baseball Coach on September 19. A Missouri Valley All Conference performer at Evansville, Andy Pascoe became an Assistant Baseball Coach after graduation. During Pascoe’s five-year stint at Evansville, the Purple Aces posted an overall record of 147-131, won one regular season conference title (2014) and amassed seven MLB draft picks, four All-Americans, one conference player of the year and 22 all-conference selections. Following a stop at Prep Baseball Report in Michigan, Pascoe returned to the dugout at Butler University, where he completed three seasons (2016-19) as an assistant coach. In his second season with the Bulldogs, Pascoe helped the offense to reach the 2018 Big East Tournament for the first time in school history. The year also saw Butler break the school record for winning percentage in a season (.630), and it marked the first winning season (34-20) since 2003. The Michigan native became the Head Coach at Western Illinois on September 19, 2019, becoming the seventh head coach in the history of the program. After three years at WIU, Coach Pascoe moved to Indiana with his family and recently served as director of PastTime Summer Tournaments until his appointment as teacher/coach at Martinsville HS.
Martinsville High School Athletic Director Kip Staggs stated, “We look forward to the direction of our baseball program under Coach Pascoe. His experiences as player, scout, and coach will be valuable to help move our baseball program forward.”
