STEM Certification

During the 2016-2017 school year, we were recognized as a STEM Certified school through the Indiana Department of Education. This is a status that Brooklyn will maintain for 5 years. At that point, the school will reapply for certification again. There are 16 current elementary schools in the state of Indiana that have earned this recognition.

STEM Sprouts Academy

Welcome to STEM Sprouts Academy at Brooklyn STEM Academy! Choosing a preschool is a big decision for your family. We are thrilled to partner with you as we go through the beginning steps of your child’s education.

Preschool is an exciting time filled with wonder and exploration. We will be utilizing the Mother Goose Time Curriculum as well as introducing them to STEM. Young children have a curiosity that naturally leads to STEM. Through STEM, we have seen students excel when they have the opportunity to explore and invent.

Feel free to contact us regarding any questions.

Project Lead The Way

Project Lead The Way provides a comprehensive approach to STEM Education for grades K-4.

Through activity-, project-, and problem-based curriculum, PLTW gives students a chance to apply what they know, identify problems, find unique solutions, and lead their own learning.

Through PLTW Launch, the program for kindergarten through fourth grade, students become problem solvers.

Students use structured approaches, like the engineering design process, and employ critical thinking. They apply STEM knowledge, skills, and habits of mind, learning that it is OK to take risks and make mistakes. As teachers and students learn and discover together, education becomes far more engaging.
