Our project-based learning curriculum is a dynamic classroom approach that encourages students to actively participate in real-world experiences and challenging, hands-on lessons. Paragon is a prek – 4th grade elementary school located in the MSD of Martinsville. Our low student to teacher ratio guarantees that each student receives the necessry support to reach their fullest potential. These small class sizes also allow us to give one to one attention to students and their unique interests.
Our school is equipped with the most up-to-date technology and school safety equipment. Paragon incorporates a 1:1 technology program in grades K-4. Students are also given the opportunity to explore outside the classroom in a variety of ways from art, music, and physical education to high ability, library, and technology classes. Students also participate in after-school activities such as academic teams, robotics, choir, and athletics. Through our strong PTO, students are given opportunities beyond the regular public school classroom setting.
Our talented staff gets to know each individual child and works with families to support all students in their academic and social needs. Relationships are important at Paragon. Our small school and community is truly one big family. In fact, our theme for this school year is “We’re All on the Same Team” as we use this theme across all our curriculum including our character education.

Paragon Elementary School implements project-based learning in Kindergarten through 4th grade which is a hands-on approach to learning. Students take ownership in what they want to learn and how they will meet their goals.
Together we challenge and inspire our children through rich experiences, empowering them to achieve success while making positive contributions to our world.
Paragon Elementary provides a quality education in a safe and orderly environment for all students to be productive, responsible citizens and inspire lifelong learning.
The staff, parents, and community of Paragon Elementary School believe that the school’s mission is two-fold: to teach students to be responsible to themselves, and to be beneficial to society. When the students have completed Paragon School, they will have been given the opportunity to gain the skills necessary to achieve lifelong learning and a strong, positive self-image. We at Paragon accept the responsibility of motivating and assisting the students in reaching their unique potential in a safe, stimulating environment.
The Rock: “The Rock” sits out front of Paragon in the square concrete. “The Rock” was part of the original school building built in 1900. “The Rock” has continued to be a symbol of the community and of the 4 school buildings here in Paragon, Indiana.
