About Us

Hello Everyone,

I am excited to be starting my 4th year as the Principal at John R. Wooden Middle School.  We have seen many changes and additions to our already diverse curriculum and programs.  We are working to meet the needs of all of our students at JRW.  Our students and staff also have worked very hard on improving our I-Learn test scores.  We saw a tremendous increase in achievement data for our scores.  We are not where we want to be, but our goal is to move every student forward.  Student achievement is top priority while still maintaining a great middle school experience for our students. I am proud of the culture that our students and staff have created at JRW!

The community is a valuable partner in our mission at JRW.  We understand that communication with parents is paramount for the success of our students.  I encourage parents to reach out to me if there are any issues or concerns.  Please look at the curriculum and let us know if you have any questions.  I would also recommend that parents get involved and check our school website for announcements and information through Parentsquare.  We have some great opportunities to volunteer and make a difference.  Here are a few of the classes and programs that are offered at JRW;
