On Thursday, July 15, 2021, the Board of School trustees for the MSD of Martinsville voted to confirm Dr. William Roberson as interim superintendent. Dr. Roberson began working for the district in June as the transition consultant in the administration office. He will continue his administration role through December 31, 2021.
“I am a Morgan County boy born and raised. I would not want to live anywhere else. The people are honest, have a strong work ethic and tell you what they think. I am blessed to be married to my high school sweetheart for 53 years. We have three children and six grandchildren.”
“I have been fortunate to be a teacher, principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent. It is my goal to be a bridge for the school board as they transition toward the next MSD of Martinsville superintendent. All of the schools in Morgan County are great schools. MSD of Martinsville schools are excellent and have a rich history and traditions. I played basketball years ago in the Glenn Curtis Gymnasium. The gym which has been renovated is a beautiful and historic site.”
“We have a great staff and each of us is eager to see your kids. While many changes have happened in our great country over the years, one thing remains the same…kids will walk through the school doors on August 11th. We welcome them! I am blessed to serve the MSD of Martinsville.”
